Structural Alignment

I am a Trauma-Informed Rolf Method Structural Integrator and RolfYoga Teacher spanning 25 years operating clinics in Pittsburgh, Austin, Santa Fe, Taos, and Sicily.

Is your canine recovering from a traumatic injury or accident? Did your dog have ACL surgery and is struggling with imbalances from the procedure? Perhaps your dog is older and dealing with achy, sore hips and pelvis, either from arthritis or too many great car rides.

Structural Alignment is a wonderful non-invasive tool addressing the fascia of your dog’s life. I watch, listen and observe how your dog is moving or not, and where restrictions show up when stressed, agitated, happy and the like.

Canine Manual Osteopathy

Manual Osteopathy (OMP) is a gentle, non-invasive approach that addresses the whole body looking to improve mobility, circulation, and structural alignment. Manual Osteopathy addresses the whole body, not just localized areas of pain. The goal is to stimulate the body’s innate healing abilities and restore balance without the use of drugs or surgery.

How is Manual Osteopathy Different?

  • Technique and approach is gentle, and addresses the nervous system while being mindful of the animals behavioral -emotional state.

I am currently enrolled with the London College of Osteopathy’s Canine Manual Therapy program.

I am slated to graduate late 2026.

Animal Somatics

Animal Somatics show us how to recognize stress signals before they escalate into reactivity. We address the animal by using practical Somatic techniques, that release tension in real time while learning to become your dogs safe place through co-regulation.

What is Animal Somatics?

This is a body-centered practice focusing on the internal sensations, movements, and nervous system regulation of the animal. This is wildly helpful in releasing chronic tension, trauma and stress.

My focus is primarily canines, I do extend into feline and equine if suitable. I have been doing this work since 2018, and recently enrolled with The Waldrup Somatic Method to deepen my knowledge and comprehend the science behind the work.

Who We Are

My name is L’aura Marie Campisi, born in 1972 to French-Italian parents on the east coast. I am the practitioner and owner of Campisi Holistic Canine and Campisi Holistic. I started focusing on canines in 2018, drawing upon my twenty+ years as a human Structural Integration practitioner - RolfYoga teacher. Having had dogs since I was small, I’ve been drawn to helping canines along their journey; whether they were lost, ill, injured, or simply needing company. I can confidently say, I understand animals on a deep level.

During the Covid closure of my private practice in Pittsburgh, I started walking, boarding, sitting and caring for any animal in need. I volunteered with the local shelters, helped homeless people with pets on the street by brining food, blankets, medical supplies, whatever was needed. I was so busy and began to hone in my listening abilities to every dog, cat and horse I met.

In the spring of 2025, I was accepted into the London College of Animal Osteopathy's Manual Canine program. I then enrolled into the Waldrup Somatic Method program in December 2025. Dual majors. My graduation to both programs is slated for 2026.

My vision while enrolled in these programs is to help as many animals as possible and continue to learn from them. Each animal is different. Each dog has its own unique story, I want to know their stories and help.

I work extensively in rescue, seeking homes for at-risk dogs high on the Elist and offer boarding, pet sitting, and group outings around the Taos and Santa Fe areas. Once I am through my programs, there will be more specific focus on Hospice Care for Canines.

Currently I live and work in Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico with my partner Greg and our two pets Chloe (who is my lead dog in my practice) and Beau our barn cat.

Thank you for reading and caring for animals,

L’aura Marie Campisi
